New Year....a reflection

So here we are, sitting on the brink. As I stand at the edge and I look back at this past year I reflect on what has happened, I worked for a Electrical Distributing company, I turned 22, I moved back to Rexburg and Started at BYU-Idaho, My family finally sold the farm and moved to Logan, I had heart complications in August and was in danger of dying, I returned to BYU-Idaho for another semester, I have dated, worked, won, lost, loved, cried, smiled. Has it been a good year? Do I feel like I have accomplished something? well, yes and no. I still have a lot to figure out, more soul searching to do, I am just taking my first steps on this wild ride we call life.
Also I look towards the future at the same moment, My brother will leave to go on his mission in the Toronto Canada East Spanish Speaking Mission, I will be working till April, when after I turn 23 I will travel back to the land of Rexburg to pursue my college career... beyond that the future is shady, I have many decisions to make and possible roads I can travel on, I pray that I will be able to make the right and appropriate choices for myself.
I would also like to get on my soapbox and rant a little to you guys, about new years resolutions. I do not believe in "New Years Resolutions" people wait till the end of a year then all of a sudden decide to make a resolution to stop a bad habbit, then, usually before January is over they give up or decide to do it later. I personally don't believe in setting that many goals, it is important to set goals, don't get me wrong, if you don't have something to work towards you won't get anything done... but I believe that if you set goals in everything and expect to excel then you miss the journey. anyway those are some thoughts from Sean, you can take them or leave them, whatever you want to do. lol
So I hope you all have a great new years, be safe, have fun, and I will see you all in 2010. isn't that weird? 20 10, 2010....

Stunnin' Like My Daddy

As you can see I am growing a beard, it is kind of a thing we do in the Rood Family, My uncle Kyle and My dad have goatee's and my dad sports a beard often. In my whole life my dad has been clean shaved like twice... if that many times... so in honor of being a Rood, and to get back at BYU Idaho for all the time I had to shave every day i am sporting the beard and like the song by Lil' Wayne, Im stunnin' like my daddy

Here are the pictures i promised! so today I finally got my rear in gear and I finished putting all my clothes away. I think the room looks really good if I do say so myself, I am starting to develop a little cabin fever now, the time spent watching t.v. and playing video games is starting to rot my brain....I can feel it.... lol
Good news everyone! I spoke to Convergys today and they are going to phone interview me tommorow so hopefully this next week I will start working! I am excited to be a contributing member of society again.
well until something interesting happens again, may the force be with you...

Oh to be a sloth, what a life that would be!

Well, today's post comes from the couch in my living room, where I have set up my base camp, since I live on the second story and have to climb up to my room to get everything or down to get what I need, I have collected the necessary elements to survive, My Laptop, Zune, Book, Camera, and my large cup to hold water in.... with these tools I can survive for a extended amount of time without needing to resupply. as of 7:15 tonight when my mom got home, I got off the couch a couple minutes later to use the restroom, as I was conversing with my mom, i realized that the last time I got off the couch was around 3, yes i know! I am being a sloth, but it has been a really nice day! lol.
My hopes are in the next week i will be able to start working so i can be a productive member of society again. lol anyway I just wanted to let you all know...

7 days of solitude....

Well it has been a week officially since I came home, and my cell phone still doesn't work... I have had no contact with the outside world. lol it has been interesting just living within my house, driving my mom and brother to work, and taking care of my dad. But the cabin fever is starting to set in, I make gun shapes with my hands and shoot my brother and mom while making gun noises several times a day. I also reverted to a game I haven't played in years, you see my mom loves nativity's. we have a lot, she has them all sitting in the same spot above the entertainment system. So the game goes like this, you move all the baby Jesus' around and put them with different nativity's and you wait to see how long it will take mom to notice! then she usually says "hey stop messing with the nativity's" and she puts them back, then when she isn't looking you do it again! lol, a new version of this game includes putting one of the baby Jesus in the Christmas tree... lol it is funny watching her trying to find it!

Like I said we have a lot of Nativity's....

So I have been listening to a lot of my old music that I haven't heard in a long time, that has been a fun journey, traveling back to my old rock days with ACDC, Gun and Roses, and the Eagles. we will have to see where my travels take me next.

Tanith first and only....

Well today was an interesting day, I had to take my dad Kevin to the Hospital and sit around while he was going to his different doctors appointments. I have never mentioned how I hate Hospitals, I think my dislike came from when I was a Freshman in High school and my dad almost died and spent a month in the ICU. bad memories are probably the basis of that, anyway, now a days after about half an hour in any hospital I get the desire to leave, and would basically do anything to get out. but that is not the only reason why, hospitals just feel like death to me, all the old people who can barely get to the doctors office that need a new hip replacement, you know all that weird stuff. well today I spent several hours in the hospital and finished a book that I have been waiting to come out, it was really good, so that was basically the highlight of my day, right now I am trying to finally get the mess that is my room put together, I will take pictures and post them whenever I can, until then you stay classy san diego.

Haters Back Down!

The title for this post comes from a good friend of mine, her name is Danielle, if she could have a mantra for her life, this would probably be it. My only warning will be, don't cross her! lol
So I am finally starting to get situated her at home, I was really depressed at the beginning because I was leaving all my friends, to go to a place where i know no one. But enough about that, I just saw one of the most amazing movies of this year, and probably one of my all time favorites! Avatar! no not Avatar: the last air bender, But Avatar! by James Cameron,

I have heard lot's of mixed stories and reports about how "good" or how well the "plot" is in this movie, so I want to set the record straight.this is what I have to say....
Haters Back Down!
you see, I am a sort of a movie lover, I cannot count how many movies I've seen. but I can count how many people I take there movie advice seriously, and I can count that on one hand.... and this is why, Avatar was not just visually appealing, but it has a cool story about a native people who are being forced off their land, and the battle to save their homes. there is also a love story thrown in but who doesn't like that? I reccomend that everyone goes and sees this movie!

So I stand here at a crossroad, part of my life has ended and now a new story is being written. I am excited and nervous for where this can go, but with you following along it won't be to hard. :)

Winter wonderland....or Hell froze over?

So i woke up this morning at 7 to get ready and head to my 7:45 archery class, now I love my archery class, it is probably my favorite. all i do for an hour is shoot arrows at a target while joking around with my friends. BUT! today was a terrible Nay Nay day, I go outside and start walking with my Zune playing my wonderful playlist of rock music and before I even cross the street I feel my nose hairs freeze! it is soooo cold! I barely make it to the Hart alive and enjoy my class. upon the treacherous journey back home I find out that it was -10 degrees this morning! I live in Hell and it has frozen over... lol I have dealt with cold before but not like this... it is terrible lol.
but enough of my complaining, on monday I went on a date with a beautiful girl named Meagan Adams, a whole big group of us friends went and saw the forgotten carols, it was so nice, I have seen the DVD before but it was so good seeing it in person. there are some awesome faith building songs. well here are some pictures of us!

Mawaige, Mawaige is what brings us together today!

Well today Jake finally took the plunge.....into the beast known as marriage! lol it was a fun wedding, I love it when my family gets together, as we laugh and make sex jokes and be loud and obnoxious, lol first I think i should describe the wedding gift I got for them, well better yet I'll show you,

On the box i left a note that said, here is your two year supply...! lol when we got to the luncheon i gave the gift to him and told him to open it, when he unwrapped half of it and looked back at me and started laughing I said, "Your Welcome!" lol it was really funny,

to tell you the truth though it kind of annoyed me, the sealing was scheduled at 8:30 in the morning in the Salt Lake Temple, then the luncheon was at 1:30 in Orem, and the reception was at 6-8 in Provo, oh my goodness could you have not picked the farthest apart times spread over the most area?! lol, so it was a long day but a good one, it is always awesome watching a couple sealed for time and all eternity in the temple!

The reception was fun, i invited Shea, a good friend to come down and go with me to the reception, it was a lot of fun, everyone came through and congratulated my cousin and his new wife and the rest of us just sat around and talked, lol but the party was kind of slowing down cause it had been a long day lol, all in all it was a fun time.

My cousins and I wanted a picture together, then they invited their wives up, so we have Chris and Robin, Jake and Heather, Then me.... yep by myself.... my family was like, where's your girl sean!? and i was like i dont know... lol kind of embarrassing but it was all in good fun,

And for my last picture I have this one, Chris, Jake, and I flexing, My uncles and dad did a picture like this when my uncle Kerry got married, and we sort of reenacted it. :)

The day Ibram died

So this is the first time I have ever blogged, i'm not to sure what I am doing or why i am doing this. but I think there are people out there who would like to follow my life and it's many wacky adventures. :) but to start this out I would like to announce that my Beta Fish Ibram passed away today. but before you start judging me, Ibram was quite the fish, he had an amazing personality, he was quite the fiesty fish.
I am extremely excited for this coming thanksgiving! a whole bunch of my family is getting together which hasn't happened for me in a while, my grandparents are going to be there which will be really funny, you can say that my family put the fun in dysfunctional.... lol no we are good we just are a bunch of loud people. but who doesn't love that?
thanks for supporting my blog by reading this short little bit, I promise that as I have funny, awkward things happen in my life I will post it here, :)
