So today was a pretty standard day, I went and had my archery class, and my family foundations. We were shooting balloons about the size of a tennis ball at 25 and 30 yards. it was a lot of fun, I hit about 6 balloons myself. In family foundations we talked about the roles of parents in the family and how it is ideal for the mother to stay home and care and nurture the children while the father provides for the family. I am really grateful that even though my mother worked for a living she was able to be there when we were home, I don't remember that many times of being home without my mom around. I went to the student health center again. I was trying to get my medications changed. I take 4 different meds. A,B,C,D. I take A, B and C every day, and D only when I need it. now I need either A or B increased, problem is meds A, B, D affect med C. so if I raise those it will raise the amount of C in my blood. so we did some blood work and an EKG today and everything turned out good so the nurse gave me a new combo to try. we will see how this plays out in the next few weeks. after the doctor appointment I decided to go have my oil changed in the exploder, and get the tires changed and everything. As I walked in the little room they have next to the shop, I was instantly asked what my name was by this fellow sitting near the door, he looked no older then 19 and he was sitting with either a friend or brother. now being the nice guy that I am and not sensing any foul play I answered, turns out his name is Jason and he was such a nice guy. I was sure after our conversation started that he either had a form of autisim or was mentally handicapped. he started asking me questions seemingly at random and off topic. "do you like sports?" "do you have a girlfriend?" "Have you seen funny home videos when the guy walks out then falls over laughing?" that third one being my favorite, he told me how bowling was his favorite sport and that the other day he bowled an 106, 138, and a 88. I told him that I am lucky if I break 100! lol. When they were getting ready to leave he told me that I was his new friend and that his birthday is on April 5th and I am invited, he gave me two hugs before he would follow his friend/brother out to their car. It warmed my heart so much to meet and speak with him. I remembered why I love mentally handicapped people so much! they are truly sweet spirits, so honest, bold and wonderful. not to mention a ton of fun! they really are here to teach us how we should treat each other, you will never find guile or hurtful purposes in their actions. anyway I just wanted to share my fun story with you, have a great day!
