I still feel like January just happened and I don't know how I feel about a new year being on our doorstep. It was a interesting year for me, if you do not know I deferred the spring semester of school to work at Logan regional hospital as a Phlebotomist. Because of that decision I spent 8 months away from my friends, this self imposed exile let me do a lot of thinking, and figure out who I am, what I am looking for in this life, and what I want to do with my life. it also was a dark time as well, I didn't make the best of choices and because of this I didn't have very many friends, I would go to work, and come home and watch tv or movies, and play video games. I'm not necessarily proud of it but it was my decision and I lived with it. I just wanted to go through and highlight some of my favorite parts of this year.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 180px; height: 135px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F2-S5QNWxyI/Tv9Zn-bligI/AAAAAAAAAJw/1Gs_46EgpDI/s320/166378_1821717785599_1319833033_2084769_4504798_a.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692366997328071170" />
Jessica came down to visit me over winter semester and we went out to Hardware ranch and saw the Elk! it was so much fun. The best part was when a random lady on the sled with us asked if we were married, I replied "oh no we're not married" and the woman looked at me with a little disappointment in her eyes and said "well you really should, you two are a really cute couple.." I didn't have the heart to tell her that we aren't together so I just kept my mouth shut. later Jessica told me that I needed to make her an "honest woman" lol so funny.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 180px; height: 135px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7oI15aNCm9k/Tv9aNxWGkdI/AAAAAAAAAJ8/7NaceS_A-q4/s320/166378_1821717745598_1319833033_2084768_6326281_a.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692367646650438098" />
A nice bull elk that was out there.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3vEvhUaBWMQ/Tv9agNE_k6I/AAAAAAAAAKI/wQGt3z8cWqs/s320/206870_2004337750984_1319833033_2371759_7436153_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692367963332514722" />
I went down one weekend in April to watch my roommate get married. and I stayed the night at my cousin Chris and his wife robins place. the next morning we, plus their son Tyson went hiking above his parents house in Farmington. So we jokingly referred to him as DUSTIN Bieber, and the girls had to get a picture with him lol.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4NXAhNmeIx0/Tv9dPYFamVI/AAAAAAAAAKs/R1T8NbcVJVA/s320/374598_2807080099041_1319833033_3123045_356235970_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692370972764182866" />
I was truly blessed with some amazing roommates, This is Dillon, Matt, and Jake. I shook my fist and said "curse you Percy Jackson!" to which she whipped her head around and said "You like Percy Jackson! that is so cool" from that moment on we were friends.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tWn_p6S9b_A/Tv9gDFNatDI/AAAAAAAAALo/26cFgxcA5zI/s320/399345_2926387721657_1319833033_3167308_140057374_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692374060073923634" />
This for obvious reasons was the highlight of my semester, The girls had mistletoe in their apartment so I got some kisses from them, then they remembered that they bought some bright pink lipstick, so KayDee and Megan ran and put some on and then kissed me again.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 180px; height: 135px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tu4grlOVxps/Tv9ggfeJxdI/AAAAAAAAAL0/yzkAt7CfSuM/s320/386055_2815861838579_1319833033_3125412_977384984_a.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692374565339645394" />
This semester I took the EMT basic class and absolutely loved it. These guys are seriously like family to me. I have never been as close to a group of classmates as I have been with these guys. near the end of the semester our teacher took us to the fire department and we got to see all the ambulances and fire trucks and we got to play with the jaws of life. Here are most of my friends from that class, I will never forget you guys! I am so happy for them, that they are starting the next stage of their life together. Babies are truly a miracle.

This year also was not without some pain and heartbreak, but that is life and I am happy for the experiences I have. I am loving the classes I took and I have decided I want to be a paramedic and want to go that route.

A scary thing that happened this year was on Halloween, I woke up with my heart in Atrial Fib again. My heart was racing and I felt really light headed, as I tried to explain to my roommate Jake what was wrong with me I got my stethoscope and told him to listen. He was pretty freaked out by my heart. I waited for the student health center to open and went to get checked out. I told the receptionist lady that my heart was in Atrial Fibrillation, and I needed to see the doctor. they sent me back and the nurse came in and checked me out, she didn't seem to really believe me. then a PA student comes in and I told her about my heart problem and how I believed that I was in atrial fib. she looked at me and said, "if you were in atrial fib you would be dead" I shook my head and said no, that's ventricular fib (thank you sister dameron!) and she said that they would do a electrocardiogram on me and see what was going on. so I get the ECG done and I look at the paper and see that yes I am in atrial fib. the doctor comes in and talks about maybe putting me on some meds to chemically change me over. I asked to get shocked. so they send me to the ER and I fill the doctor in there, they start an IV on me and get me drugged up to take the shock. they gave me the shock and everything appeared to be good. they wanted to keep me for a little while to see how I was doing. about an hour later I was sitting in my bed and my stomach was hurting, it was now around 1:30pm and I hadn't eaten anything since the night before, so I just attributed it to not having eaten. then my stomach started hurting a lot more, then I got this burning feeling in my chest and it started radiating out to my limbs and my legs. lastly it went to my head and I had this really hot flushed feeling. I looked out the window to the nursing area and saw no one there. I turned and looked at the monitor and my heartbeat was 47, I turn and look at the window and see no one there, I look over again and see that it was 41 and dropping, I turn back to the door and yell "HELP!" I see a nurse come around the desk with a confused look on her face, once she opens the door and looks at the monitor I see her eyes go as big as dinner plates, and she turns around and yells, "I need help in here, someone call respiratory therapy!" I flop my head over and my heartbeat is 37, as the nurses rush in and drop my head back I look over one more time and see that my heart rate is 26, I then looked up at the ceiling and I can remember thinking to myself "so this is what dying feels like" I remember saying a prayer, "God, I don't want to die, but if it's my time so be it." as the nurses put oxygen on my face and get ready to shock me again, the doctor says wait, my heart rate stayed steady around 25-30 beats, then it went back up again to around 40. it stayed around 40 for maybe 5 minutes, then it went back up to around 60 for a minute or two, then it went up to around 75 and stayed strong. they didn't have to shock me again, and they held me for a couple more hours then sent me home when I didn't deteriorate again. They said that I must of had a vagal incident and when they shocked me the first time they must have stimulated that nerve and it brought my heart rate down. I'm not going to lie it shook me up really bad, and it took a couple weeks to recover. I honestly felt like I was dying, and it was so scary. I am so grateful for the gift of life, and the opportunity to be alive. I truly have a better understanding and better outlook on life for having gone through this ordeal.

I was able to let go of a lot of pain this semester, I have had terrible luck the last three years in the dating department, just girls not wanting to date seriously or get into relationships. I would take them out on a couple dates and they would say lets just be friends. after a while it really started to build up and get to me. I felt like I wasn't attractive, that there was something I did to drive the girls away, that there was something wrong with me. I became kind of jaded also. I would be confident on the dates but wouldn't have my hopes up because I knew it wouldn't go anywhere. anyway that was how I felt. My roommate Sam helped me realize where I went wrong. He helped me realize how amazing I am. The personality that makes people gravitate to me, and how I can make anyone feel loved and welcome. I have a lot of attributes and things I can bring to the table. It's not my fault that those girls couldn't see me for what I am and they didn't like me, it is their problem. they had a chance to have the best thing to happen to them and they gave it up. I feel so liberated now! I feel like a huge weight was taken off of my chest. I love myself again and feel so much better about me as a person. my confidence level is higher than it has been in a long time. I thank Sam for all his help this semester, and owe everything to him.

This year has been a great year of personal growth and fun times, I am excited as we travel into 2012 and see what this year brings. I am ready for the trials and pains that it will bring and will live life to the fullest so I can enjoy the joy and love that it will bring.

I will see you all in a next year friends!

Sean out,

Nice guys finish last...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fz3zFqLc3E&feature=related

Here's a funny song that I think illustrates my point pretty well.

Basically the point of this post is to start an argument/prove a point. My point is this, Most girls, now I said most girls not all girls. Most girls go only for Jerks and douche bags. Nice guys are not "mysterious" or "dangerous" enough for the girls so they go for the guys that are "projects" or make them excited because they are bad boys. If their friends or family say something, or tell them they are bad for them, they don't listen. then when they're hurt the nice guys are there for them, yet still they wont go for the "good guys"

First I want to address this "mysterious" thing that girls have for guys, don't you realize that all people are mysterious? You need to get to know everyone. There is this excitement that the girls feel with the mysterious guys, you know why they're mysterious? those guys have lots of secrets, and they don't want you to know about them, so they don't let you in and keep you at arms length. they're usually just in it all for a piece of ass. if you really got to know them you would see how fake they are.

Now I want to address the friend zone. I think this is the stupidest thing ever and ALL girls do it. You meet a girl and spend time with her, but if you spend too much time, or get to know her at all, you get placed in a cold little hell that there is no escape from.the funny thing is if you're the "friend" and are stuck in the friend zone you are no longer a sexual option. you are like a brother, or cousin. You are fun but there will be no dating between you and said girl. I mean every girl dreams of marrying her best friend, but she won't date any of her "friends" as soon as a guy gets seated in the friend zone he is undateable, and it is almost impossible for him to get out.

Here is a comment from the Chicago Tribune about the friend zone.

"When a guy agrees to be friends, he's forced to stifle his attraction while regularly seeing and talking to the woman he's attracted to. She discusses her love life and has the audacity to ask his advice on it. He performs occasional "manly" household and automotive favors for the woman. Essentially, he does everything a boyfriend would do––without the benefits. -- Gina B., Chicago Tribune, 2007"

I've been there many times, it really tears you apart.

You can take it how it is or decide whatever you want, I know I am ranting, and I know I am complaining a little, but I am just trying to tell it how it is, if you disagree with me, or agree with me let me know, maybe we can come up with a cure for this disease. But what I really think needs to happen is girls need to give those nice guys a chance, or if you move them into the friend zone and they ask you out, go out with them. Give them a chance to woo you, if they don't then they go right back. You never know what you could be passing up.

I don't know, it is crazy how girls do that. I guess that I should just start treating girls like trash, and objects, maybe that will get them to notice me... they seem to like being treated like crap so if I start doing it I might get a girlfriend, what do you think readers? should I start flipping my collar and wearing a sideways ball cap? if it will get me the girls I'm tempted to try it.

I am so old...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 139px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TBtqhP_j9Ak/TmpbYqw7PaI/AAAAAAAAAJo/dnaeoGX3wSw/s320/images.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5650429161844194722" />
Last night my roommate who is a new freshman this fall, finally came home from orientation, and he brought with him two friends from back home and those two each brought a roommate. I found myself sitting in a room with 5 18 year olds. now I'm not saying they weren't cool, they actually are a lot of fun, but I just felt old. I'm 24, that's a 6 year difference. So I was trying to relate with them on a lot of things, and we had a fun time talking. it ended up that I was teaching them all this wisdom I have accumulated here at school. I taught them how to get girls to make dinners for them, how to get girls phone numbers, and fun ways to know girls all over campus. I felt a lot like yoda when he is teaching the younglings in star wars. It will be a lot of fun to find out over the next week or two if they get dinner or numbers from girls. The thing is I don't watch tv, but I watch a lot of tv shows, and if you don't already know it I'm kind of a scifi junkie/nerd. I love scifi tv shows, and as I was watching some of my favorites, I thought about how whenever I hear people talk about their favorite shows, these don't come up. So I am going to share a couple of my favorites and see if I can spark some interest in them amongst my friends.
The first show I want to talk about is Fringe.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 202px; height: 249px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BJFels-noPw/Tj9bOhXUg4I/AAAAAAAAAIY/BFlZyf6-V2Y/s320/images4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5638325563523629954" />
It is a show about a FBI team that deals with weird events and unexplained happenings, dealing with the "fringe" sciences, such as parallel universes, quantum mechanics, and other weird things.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 168px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DmWJp3Ee_lM/Tj9bO53gtdI/AAAAAAAAAIg/QUZBSlFIcFI/s320/images3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5638325570101097938" />
The lead character is Olivia Dunham, she is the FBI agent that works alongside Dr. Walter Bishop, and his son Peter Bishop. Walter, working with his partner William Bell, did many experiments in the 60's and 70's into the fringe sciences, (he actually worked on Olivia when she was a little girl) after a lab accident where an assistant was killed, Walter was charged with manslaughter and deemed mentally unfit to be tried, he was placed in a facility for 17 years. Olivia, after finding out about bishop frees him and with his past experience is able to make sense of the strange things going on. His character is very quirky and funny. he practiced lots of experiments using LSD and did many recreational drugs back in the 60's and with his 17 years in the mental facility he says many funny thing and acts very strange. Now peter bishop, takes care of his father, but is in every way as smart as his father is. but there is a secret about peter that we find out about as we watch the show.
All in all, it is a show about strange things happening then they solve the problem. much like any other crime show, yet theres deals with the paranormal and oddities.

The second show I want to mention is Warehouse 13.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xpIahz7CqTQ/Tj9bmSadLqI/AAAAAAAAAIo/I2vr3g_eku8/s320/7884.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5638325971827109538" />
The premise of Warehouse 13 is that there are "artifacts" that have special powers. things that people have used in the past that carry part of them or can affect people who touch the artifact. examples would be, General grants flask. the person who drinks from it will believe he is in the Civil war and start fighting people. there are many different artifacts in this giant warehouse in south dakota, called warehouse 13 since it is the 13th warehouse since ancient times.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-X-pbn2HR-p8/Tj9bmUYMgPI/AAAAAAAAAIw/C1vDmpGD_Kw/s320/Warehouse13Renewal-thumb-550x366-22625.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5638325972354498802" />
the secret service agents that work in warehouse 13, Artie, Micah, claudia, and pete. pete and micah are the field agents that go out all over the country/world and find the artifacts and "bag em and tag em" the artifacts are brought back to the warehouse where they are put on a shelf, and held to protect the general public. Artie is the leader of the group and the oldest of the warehouse team. Claudia is the youngest and is a computer whiz, brining a lot of much needed new technology into the warehouse. many parts of it still use notecards and other older means of inventorying everything. I really enjoy this show for the characters, they are really fun. pete is the ex marine, goof off, funny guy that makes boob jokes and always says one liners from movies. he has this "ability" that he gets vibes that somethings wrong and it usually is right. Micah is the strong female character, she is smart and very well versed in classic literature, between pete's intuition and micah's smarts, they make up a good team.

Third we have Sanctuary.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 217px; height: 232px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LPrffj0-0lI/Tj9b3cSIL1I/AAAAAAAAAI4/WDi7T3nJkT8/s320/images.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5638326266534309714" />
This show is amazing, first off they use CG for most of the set. probably 50 percent of the sets are made with CG. that way they have no budget restricitons when it comes to how they want a set to look or how many rooms they have in the Sanctuary. The premise of the Sanctuary is this, there are "abnormals" all over the world. strange creatures out of fairy tales and stories. like mermaids, strange humanoids and other things. basically they are endangered since humans have spread so much around the globe and we kill their habitats. also some of them are dangerous.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_RgzuD1NgOU/Tj9b3g4bemI/AAAAAAAAAJA/lFMwKxwcLZ0/s320/fragments.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5638326267768699490" />

like this lizard guy

anyway Dr. Helen Magnus and her team go around the world and "hunt" these abnormals. their mission is to bring them back to the sanctuary where they can live in safety. they have many different missions and problems, from smugglers, to people trying to attack the sanctuary itself.
I won't give too much away on the characters, but you learn so much about them and how they came to be who they are. it is a really enjoyable show where you can have a bunch of laughs. oh there also are lycanthropes, vampires, and jack the ripper.

4th and last is probably my favorite out of all 4 of these right now. That show would be V.
now it hasn't been renewed for a third season yet, but we are hoping ABC comes forward. The whole premise of this show is all of a sudden one day 29 space ships show over 29 major cities around the world.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 168px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4KilJRplf44/Tj9cVEU3nYI/AAAAAAAAAJQ/JiYN_sfh6oQ/s320/images1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5638326775499431298" />
the bottom of the ships can project images like a tv and we see Ana. Ana is the queen and leader of the "visitors". "We are at peace, always" is a phrase you often hear from her.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 168px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RlxZIV8vPOs/Tj9cVMmEscI/AAAAAAAAAJI/9s7P0k2Jp0o/s320/images2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5638326777719075266" />
The visitors give us new technology, healing centers, blue energy (a kind of renewable, clean, energy) without asking for anything. humans are brought aboard to live on the ships and visitors mingle amongst our people. soon a terrorist group known simply as the fifth column made up of visitors and humans alike try and fight back against Ana and the other V's. as time goes on we see that there is a sinister side to the visitors. the main character Erica Evans is an FBI agent in charge of the details that protect Ana and her retinue when they go around New York City. Her son, ends up falling in love with Lisa, Ana's daughter. this brings a vicious triangle and Erica trys to help the fifth column fight Ana, but keep her son safe as he wants to be with Lisa on the ship. A few episodes of this show brought me to tears and moved me in ways a Tv show has never done. I would recomend this one to anyone that likes a scifi show about aliens and intrigue.

So there you go. Those are my top 4 scifi shows that I have watched or am currently watching. what are your favorite shows? I hope I perked your interest. most people seem to have a stigma about scifi shows, they wouldnt be caught dead watching them, yet they are huge fans of Lost, which is a huge scifi show. anyway, if you decide you don't like these, I guess you could just keep watching Glee and desperate houswives...

Sean out,

24

If you were looking for this post to be about a jack Bauer or 24, I'm sorry to Disappoint, but here's a picture for you,

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rvN7fPZhBZ4/TaHnejBZqNI/AAAAAAAAAHs/oodM5z5mYF8/s320/24_wallpaper_1024x768.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594006724154075346" />

See? doesn't that help a little? I think so,

Well The title for this blog post is because today is my Birthday!
Yes, I turn 24 today, which feels weird, in some ways my last birthday seems a lifetime ago, but it also feels like it was a short time ago. I am excited to feel the curse that comes with being 23 to dissipate... if you don't know what I'm talking about I have provided a link that teaches all about it. http://youtu.be/K7l5ZeVVoCA

There have been so many developments in my life since I last posted I don't know where to begin... I got a job! I am now a Phlebotomist at the Hospital here in Logan, I am making just over 10 dollars and hour and really enjoy my job.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QxJMb4lGEI4/TaHhlXkIHyI/AAAAAAAAAHk/uF81s9ltK3Q/s320/IMG_0183.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594000244267818786" />
Me donning the gear before I go into the negative pressure room.

So I go around each day drawing peoples blood, people make a lot of vampire jokes and I laugh along, luckily no one has said anything about twilight, I might have to kill them if they do... lol So that's what I've been doing most this winter, it is really cool getting a look at the medical field, I go around to all the different departments in the hospital and get to see all the different workers, and learn about stuff. I know that isn't too descriptive but I get to see the nurses work alongside the doctors and cna's at traumas and codes while I'm drawing blood.

Now to the sad news, I will not be returning to Rexburg this week. I have chosen to remain and work to make money for school. I have been just using my loans to go so far, and haven't been able to get a job in Rexburg. So this is an opportunity to make some money for school, also when I had all my heart problems a little over a year ago, I have medical bills from that, that I need to take care of. So I guess I am making the adult decision to stay behind and better myself financially, man adult decisions can suck sometimes lol. why can't I go back to when I was a kid? or even better High school, and all I had to worry about was who's house we were playing halo at this week. lol
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 194px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Erl5V593syk/TaHoWHs6xiI/AAAAAAAAAH0/BsMZAgkyX7c/s320/ferris_buellers_day_off_poster.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594007678893082146" />
This was basically every day at my high school senior year...

But there is so much to be thankful for in making grown up decisions, I mean I am actually doing something with my life, I served a mission for my church, came home, got a job, and have been going to school the last two years and have been working, so I have learned a lot about life and being a man, and I'm thankful for the opportunity I have to test myself and to experience everything life has to offer. Even though I say I would love to sit around and do nothing, or play videogames all day, that would get old after a while and I would start to go crazy, lol

I finally broke down and after a year of procrastinating I started the Wheel of time series by Robert Jordan, and I haven't been able to put it down since.... I am on the 6th book in the 13 book series and have been reading them since early February, considering they are around 960 pages each I feel like I am blasting through them. It is a fantasy series with a story line that is hard to explain, it is very complex, the one good thing I love about this series is the in depth characters! this book has the best character development I have seen in any series before. going from the first book to this one the characters have grown and matured so much, but you can still see the young people they were in the first one. it is amazing to be reading and find yourself laughing along with the characters at a joke or smiling at a characters awkwardness with speaking with women. I truly love this series and am sad for when it ends.

I have recently found an online TV show that I find to be extremely hilarious, it is called "The Guild"
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cwqufY6WnuQ/TaHrml6io6I/AAAAAAAAAIE/wKZcZ0zrEwE/s320/the_guild_cast.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594011260416074658" />
and here they dressed up as their characters.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2MXbBZ_aXjI/TaHrmVeue-I/AAAAAAAAAH8/Cv9cjSG524Y/s320/TheGuild.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594011256004443106" />
This is their characters in game

The whole premise of the show is it is a guild that plays an MMO (massive multiplayer online) game. They go through all sorts of problems with their guild and a rival one in the four season there are. the best part about the show is the players are awkward and have hard problems with social skills but are breaking out of their shell and meeting each other and dealing with trying to be normal. the episodes are on youtube and the average length of an episode is around 4-5 minutes. since I have been in a clan (a first person shooter version of a guild) and have played video games a lot in my life I find their humor and jokes to be very enjoyable, and it brings back good memories. Also you can never get enough of awkward people who almost never have social interactions.

Also I started online dating, which at first was kind of embarrassing, but I felt that I needed to broaden my horizons, I was tired of the immature girls that only wanted to go out and get a free meal, not take dating seriously. I have met a girl, She is awesome and we have gone on 4 dates now. It is really exciting to have met someone so awesome, spiritual, confident, and beautiful, and it seems like she enjoys my company which is a plus lol. anyway I will keep you all updated as events happen.

Well this has been probably my longest post ever, and I hope you all enjoyed it. until then...

Good night, and good luck

Sean out,

Dust in the wind...

I have successfully moved back to Logan and am now beginning my second winter semester home. I am not that excited about this, I was hoping to stay in Rexburg with my friends and work. But things always change and it was time for me to come home again. It's interesting to be able to look back at my first year and now second year at BYU-Idaho, and compare the differences. It is good being home though, I get to sleep in my queen sized bed, my mommy makes dinner! and I can sleep in as much as I want. So now it's time to find a job and get to work. I plan on doing some adventuring this semester and hope that I can make some lasting friends. Oh on another note I'm fairly sure I won't be living at Centennial again, so I am going to nomad around for a while until I find another home.

Glee...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_7P7coA1eHSk/TOQ-yyQRl7I/AAAAAAAAAHQ/t0xz8TA2Wqc/s320/560.glee.cast.lc.033010.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5540622483776968626" />
I have always been a big fan of Glee, I have watched it since it started and have really enjoyed the program. all the idiosyncrasies, of the different characters and the absurdness of the episodes. not to mention the first seasons songs were really good. I wasn't tricked at all to think that they were actually singing those songs live, but I overall enjoyed it. some of their best episodes in my opinion were hairography and the Madonna episode.
This latest season though has been a real disappointment, they keep playing on the same two gags, and will wait two weeks for a new episode that is lackluster. I feel that they are getting more inappropriate for no real reason, before they had risque episodes but for a reason, Madonna is a controversial person so that episode had to ruffle some feathers, yet now they just do stupid stuff, and I find myself not laughing.... you are breaking my heart Glee. I don't know if I can continue watching you.

Sean out,

This one's for you Jason,

So today was a pretty standard day, I went and had my archery class, and my family foundations. We were shooting balloons about the size of a tennis ball at 25 and 30 yards. it was a lot of fun, I hit about 6 balloons myself. In family foundations we talked about the roles of parents in the family and how it is ideal for the mother to stay home and care and nurture the children while the father provides for the family. I am really grateful that even though my mother worked for a living she was able to be there when we were home, I don't remember that many times of being home without my mom around. I went to the student health center again. I was trying to get my medications changed. I take 4 different meds. A,B,C,D. I take A, B and C every day, and D only when I need it. now I need either A or B increased, problem is meds A, B, D affect med C. so if I raise those it will raise the amount of C in my blood. so we did some blood work and an EKG today and everything turned out good so the nurse gave me a new combo to try. we will see how this plays out in the next few weeks. after the doctor appointment I decided to go have my oil changed in the exploder, and get the tires changed and everything. As I walked in the little room they have next to the shop, I was instantly asked what my name was by this fellow sitting near the door, he looked no older then 19 and he was sitting with either a friend or brother. now being the nice guy that I am and not sensing any foul play I answered, turns out his name is Jason and he was such a nice guy. I was sure after our conversation started that he either had a form of autisim or was mentally handicapped. he started asking me questions seemingly at random and off topic. "do you like sports?" "do you have a girlfriend?" "Have you seen funny home videos when the guy walks out then falls over laughing?" that third one being my favorite, he told me how bowling was his favorite sport and that the other day he bowled an 106, 138, and a 88. I told him that I am lucky if I break 100! lol. When they were getting ready to leave he told me that I was his new friend and that his birthday is on April 5th and I am invited, he gave me two hugs before he would follow his friend/brother out to their car. It warmed my heart so much to meet and speak with him. I remembered why I love mentally handicapped people so much! they are truly sweet spirits, so honest, bold and wonderful. not to mention a ton of fun! they really are here to teach us how we should treat each other, you will never find guile or hurtful purposes in their actions. anyway I just wanted to share my fun story with you, have a great day!

Sean out,

Rock music saved my life.....

I have been listening to rock music a lot the past couple of day, back in high school when I got off my kick of rap music I found ACDC's back in black cd, that was the beginning of a wonderful journey through rock music. My dad would always laugh and shake his head when he would hear me listening to the music that came out when he was in high school. since being back from my mission I trended to listen to some rock less and stick more towards country music. A year ago while living with my roommate Jason Cutler, I was reintroduced to the Hip Hop music I loved, since then I have primarily listened to hip hop music and just dabbled back into the rock. anyway I have listened to some classic songs and love what I've been hearing. I just wanted to share that with you guys, hope all is going well, only two more weeks till thanksgiving break!

Sean out,

Trunk r treat and straw mazes

This week was a really stressful one for me, I was planning the activity and trying to get everything in order, I took too much of the responsibility for myself and should have delegated a little more. good news is, the party was a hit! we had a great time, and after wards Aaron Mcgregor, Sam Ure, Laura kidd, Jessica Voss, and I went to the straw maze! I don't know what to do anymore, I am still luckless with dating, doing poor in school, am not making much money, and I can't keep in contact with old friends even though I want too. I have been wanting a relationship or someone to share with for the longest time, and after a year of dating and taking girls out I feel much like christian in Moulin Rouge. like I have finally broken my obsession with love. I don't know where this will lead me, I doubt I can give up dating but I feel like I've lost some of my nerve as of late. before to long the semester will end and all memories of me will fade, and I will be able to start anew. besides that work is going well, I hate it, but it pays the bills. until next time take care,

Sean out,

Kanye's workout plan/ story writing...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 218px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_7P7coA1eHSk/TKQn_oXFydI/AAAAAAAAAFs/8TXqh_heNL0/s320/kanye_west_the_new_workout_plan.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522583017182579154" />
So this last week I decided that I weigh to much and it is high time I started to loose weight, especially with my heart problems, so I started to stop eating and started exercising a little. to put it in perspective I lost 8 pounds from September 21st-26th. which isn't healthy, needless to say I got sick on monday and am now easing back into dieting, I stopped exercising but hope to start that again soon. the nice thing is everyone has been real supportive and have been wishing me luck and complimenting me which has been really nice. I need help with this and so far I am getting a lot and I thank everyone, so I have started Kanye's get right for the summer work out tape, holla!

Now on to more exciting things!
I have a really good friend name Amanda Van Leuwan who lives in C1, she has this great picture of her family when they went to Nauvoo and participated in the nauvoo pageant. She was 15 at the time, and the picture looks like her family is amish or from pioneer times. So as I usually do I started making fun of the picture and started off on a story of how she was from a poor sharecroppers family, but later that night and the next day, I felt inspired to write down the story and share it with Amanda and her roommates. So I started yesterday and am now on the third page, I have character descriptions and new names for her family members, and there is a love interest in the story! I have kept everything as period appropriate that I can. Her roommates really appear to enjoy it and I hope Amanda does to. I will most likely be blogging it along with the picture when it is completed, as of right now it is still in the early forms of the prose.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 228px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_7P7coA1eHSk/TKQnaUOSw6I/AAAAAAAAAFk/jBKi6mhbQJY/s320/13a-Utah_pioneer_family.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522582376121811874" />
Her family looks something like this, just not as scary....

until then I hope you all enjoy the new semester!

Sean out,

An enemy of the Republic!

I am so frustrated with the financial aid office right now, all my paperwork is in and we are starting the second week of school and I have no money, to pay rent or to pay tuition. Paparazzi
2. Telephone
3. Bad Romance
4. Poker Face
5. Starstruck
6. Love game
7. Just Dance

So at the end of everyday I will have at least listened to those songs once, but most likely 3 or 4 times... but I will not apologize for that.

School started again this last week and it has been fun, I am making new friends and meeting new people which is really nice, this has been a new experience for me moving into a new ward in an area I have never lived in before but I am learning and feeling better about being here. My roommates are awesome! they are as follows Ben from South Dakota, he is my room roommate, David from Seattle/Chicago, we were mission companions so its fun being roommates, Pierre my black roommate from Boston, he is crazy and is always keepin it real, Seth from Utah, he is fun and has a girlfriend she is really pretty, don't tell him I said that! lol, and last but not least is Louis from Tanzania, he is my other black roommate, he is a crazy kid. All my roommates are nice and we get along really well. I will post pictures of the apartment and roommates when I get the opportunity to take them, Rexburg has been a playa hater and is showing us some bad weather, anyway I leave you with this photo to cement in your minds my true love right now...
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_7P7coA1eHSk/S9ojT4DVnPI/AAAAAAAAAEk/ESe_fq3cdGM/s320/asom-lady-gaga.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465719922138389746" />
Sean out,

It's been a while...

I was listening to one of my favorite songs today, if you can't guess it is "it's been a while" by Staind. I'm starting to think a lot about the coming semester, all the different classes, my new apartment and new roommates I will have. You see at the end of last semester I felt it was time to move on and meet new people, so I migrated away from The Pines and the 14th ward. It's funny to think the first time I was there it was 2005, and now it's 2010... time is flying by. I am excited for the new experiences I will have, hopefully I will be able to get a job to!
well there have been some changes in the Rood Household since the last time I wrote, My brother Cody went on his mission to the Canada Toronto East mission spanish speaking, he leaves the MTC on the 20th of this month
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_7P7coA1eHSk/S8PMKbU3ApI/AAAAAAAAAEU/CTA3kdFBsxc/s320/IMG_8737.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5459431652809179794" />
Cody and I before he went to the MTC

Also we got a dog! her name is Stella and she is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, she is a lot of fun. As I stand at the edge and I look back at this past year I reflect on what has happened, I worked for a Electrical Distributing company, I turned 22, I moved back to Rexburg and Started at BYU-Idaho, My family finally sold the farm and moved to Logan, I had heart complications in August and was in danger of dying, I returned to BYU-Idaho for another semester, I have dated, worked, won, lost, loved, cried, smiled. Has it been a good year? Do I feel like I have accomplished something? well, yes and no. I still have a lot to figure out, more soul searching to do, I am just taking my first steps on this wild ride we call life.
Also I look towards the future at the same moment, My brother will leave to go on his mission in the Toronto Canada East Spanish Speaking Mission, I will be working till April, when after I turn 23 I will travel back to the land of Rexburg to pursue my college career... beyond that the future is shady, I have many decisions to make and possible roads I can travel on, I pray that I will be able to make the right and appropriate choices for myself.
I would also like to get on my soapbox and rant a little to you guys, about new years resolutions. I do not believe in "New Years Resolutions" people wait till the end of a year then all of a sudden decide to make a resolution to stop a bad habbit, then, usually before January is over they give up or decide to do it later. I personally don't believe in setting that many goals, it is important to set goals, don't get me wrong, if you don't have something to work towards you won't get anything done... but I believe that if you set goals in everything and expect to excel then you miss the journey. anyway those are some thoughts from Sean, you can take them or leave them, whatever you want to do. lol
So I hope you all have a great new years, be safe, have fun, and I will see you all in 2010. isn't that weird? 20 10, 2010....

Sean Out,

Stunnin' Like My Daddy

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_7P7coA1eHSk/Szp89iq7gjI/AAAAAAAAADE/-IAA8UTLoDE/s320/IMG_8683.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5420782498214543922" />
As you can see I am growing a beard, it is kind of a thing we do in the Rood Family, My uncle Kyle and My dad have goatee's and my dad sports a beard often. I am being a sloth, but it has been a really nice day! lol.
My hopes are in the next week i will be able to start working so i can be a productive member of society again. lol anyway I just wanted to let you all know...

Sean out,

7 days of solitude....

Well it has been a week officially since I came home, and my cell phone still doesn't work... I have had no contact with the outside world. lol it has been interesting just living within my house, driving my mom and brother to work, and taking care of my dad. But the cabin fever is starting to set in, I make gun shapes with my hands and shoot my brother and mom while making gun noises several times a day. I also reverted to a game I haven't played in years, you see my mom loves nativity's. we have a lot, she has them all sitting in the same spot above the entertainment system. So the game goes like this, you move all the baby Jesus' around and put them with different nativity's and you wait to see how long it will take mom to notice! then she usually says "hey stop messing with the nativity's" and she puts them back, then when she isn't looking you do it again! lol, a new version of this game includes putting one of the baby Jesus in the Christmas tree... lol it is funny watching her trying to find it!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_7P7coA1eHSk/SzOdbtvVBmI/AAAAAAAAACw/2hL6kLYdeJE/s320/IMG_8671.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5418847876116973154" />
Like I said we have a lot of Nativity's....

So I have been listening to a lot of my old music that I haven't heard in a long time, that has been a fun journey, traveling back to my old rock days with ACDC, Gun and Roses, and the Eagles. we will have to see where my travels take me next.

Tanith first and only....

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_7P7coA1eHSk/SzBPpWhvFaI/AAAAAAAAACo/4GV2Bq7tpKY/s320/joker_nurse.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5417917923567015330" />
Well today was an interesting day, I had to take my dad Kevin to the Hospital and sit around while he was going to his different doctors appointments. I have never mentioned how I hate Hospitals, I think my dislike came from when I was a Freshman in High school and my dad almost died and spent a month in the ICU. bad memories are probably the basis of that, anyway, now a days after about half an hour in any hospital I get the desire to leave, and would basically do anything to get out. but that is not the only reason why, hospitals just feel like death to me, all the old people who can barely get to the doctors office that need a new hip replacement, you know all that weird stuff. well today I spent several hours in the hospital and finished a book that I have been waiting to come out, it was really good, so that was basically the highlight of my day, right now I am trying to finally get the mess that is my room put together, I will take pictures and post them whenever I can, until then you stay classy san diego.

Sean out,

Haters Back Down!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 194px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_7P7coA1eHSk/Sy3Ny-VfJCI/AAAAAAAAAB8/qBdMig_f6OI/s320/46925563_avatar466.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5417212202406847522" />

The title for this post comes from a good friend of mine, her name is Danielle, if she could have a mantra for her life, this would probably be it. My only warning will be, don't cross her! lol
So I am finally starting to get situated her at home, I was really depressed at the beginning because I was leaving all my friends, to go to a place where i know no one. But enough about that, I just saw one of the most amazing movies of this year, and probably one of my all time favorites! Avatar! no not Avatar: the last air bender, But Avatar! by James Cameron,
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 216px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_7P7coA1eHSk/Sy3NygZbFHI/AAAAAAAAAB0/jVIe4RtxpGU/s320/avatar_poster2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5417212194370294898" />

I have heard lot's of mixed stories and reports about how "good" or how well the "plot" is in this movie, so I want to set the record straight.this is what I have to say....
Haters Back Down!
you see, I am a sort of a movie lover, I cannot count how many movies I've seen. but I can count how many people I take there movie advice seriously, and I can count that on one hand.... and this is why, Avatar was not just visually appealing, but it has a cool story about a native people who are being forced off their land, and the battle to save their homes. there is also a love story thrown in but who doesn't like that? I reccomend that everyone goes and sees this movie!

So I stand here at a crossroad, part of my life has ended and now a new story is being written. I am excited and nervous for where this can go, but with you following along it won't be to hard. :)

Sean out,

Winter wonderland....or Hell froze over?

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_7P7coA1eHSk/Sxiszk3EJEI/AAAAAAAAABs/zwNaHNh9hIM/s320/IMG_8618.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5411264954353591362" />

So i woke up this morning at 7 to get ready and head to my 7:45 archery class, now I love my archery class, it is probably my favorite. all i do for an hour is shoot arrows at a target while joking around with my friends. BUT! today was a terrible Nay Nay day, I go outside and start walking with my Zune playing my wonderful playlist of rock music and before I even cross the street I feel my nose hairs freeze! it is soooo cold! I barely make it to the Hart alive and enjoy my class. upon the treacherous journey back home I find out that it was -10 degrees this morning! I live in Hell and it has frozen over... lol I have dealt with cold before but not like this... it is terrible lol.
but enough of my complaining, on monday I went on a date with a beautiful girl named Meagan Adams, a whole big group of us friends went and saw the forgotten carols, it was so nice, I have seen the DVD before but it was so good seeing it in person. there are some awesome faith building songs. well here are some pictures of us!

<img style="display:block;
